The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland rely on volunteers to assist our professional staff in implementing programs and to help with special events and committees.  Each branch offers volunteer opportunities for adults to work with young people as mentors and tutors, and by providing career guidance, internships, job coaching, and college preparation support.

Perhaps you would like to volunteer to help with an art class, teach a young person to play a musical instrument, coach a softball team, plan a special event, or play a game of hoops. Your gift of time with these young people will make a difference - in your life and in theirs. A gift of one hour a week of your time is all it takes.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland is very serious about our responsibility to provide a safe, caring environment for our members.  We are proud of our reputation as The Positive Place for Kids. Therefore, all volunteers must undergo a thorough screening process that includes a volunteer application, one reference letter, Sex Offender Registry Information (SORI*), and Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI). Volunteers must be age 18 and older.

*Please note that a copy of your government issued ID, (e.g., driver’s license, birth certificate, passport, etc.) must accompany the CORI form.
