Youth Development Professional (Multiple Locations / Part Time)

This position is responsible for leading programming for youth ages 6 to 18 and serving as role models to a diverse population. Individual must be energetic, motivated, and enjoy working with youth.

Branch Director (Dave Goldberg Branch / Full Time)

Directs/manages overall daily operations of a designated branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland with the primary concern for programs and service delivery, supervision and training of staff, facilities management, community relations and membership administration.

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to recruit, train, supervise and motivate staff and volunteers.
  • Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
  • Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.
  • Working knowledge of grant preparation, reporting, and solicitation.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders.
  • Full Time – 40 hours/week

Summer Program Coordinator (Gary New Duluth / Seasonal / Part Time)

Oversee the delivery of a broad range of programs and activities within a designated Branch, such as Education, Technology, Character and Leadership Development, Health and Life Skills, Fitness and Recreation and Arts and Crafts. Supervise and evaluate program staff and volunteers.

  • Part Time – 28 hours/week
  • Seasonal Position 6/10/2024-8/31/2024
  • Available Location: Gary New Duluth

Membership Secretary (Hibbing Branch / Part Time)

Maintains and updates all membership files of a designated unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northland in accordance with policies, operating procedures and operating budgets of the Club. Must keep accurate data of all traffic in and out of the Club. Promote and stimulate program participation, register new members and participate in their Club orientation process and provide guidance and role modeling to members. Must keep in regular contact with parents and help to maintain the safety of the facility. Must attend meetings/trainings that facilitate Youth Development Outcomes. Ensure a healthy and safe environment, ensuring facilities, equipment and supplies are maintained.
